Sequence Variations of Mitochondrial DNA Displacement-Loop in Iranian Indigenous Sheep Breeds
Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) has been used extensively to study population genetics because it has the unique features of maternal inheritance, a relatively fast rate of evolution and lack of recombination. A total of 82 unrelated sheep from 10 Iranian indigenous sheep breeds were investigated to determinate the maternal genetic diversity using a sequence of a 685 bp segment of the displacement lo...
متن کاملEfficient Production of Biallelic RAG1 Knockout Mouse Embryonic Stem Cell Using CRISPR/Cas9
Background: Recombination Activating Genes (RAG) mutated embryonic stem cells are (ES) cells which are unable to perform V (D) J recombination. These cells can be used for generation of immunodeficient mouse. Creating biallelic mutations by CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing has emerged as a powerful technique to generate site-specific mutations in different sequences. Ob...
متن کاملConstruction of a High-Density Genetic Map from RNA-Seq Data for an Arabidopsis Bay-0 × Shahdara RIL Population
High-density genetic maps are essential for high resolution mapping of quantitative traits. Here, we present a new genetic map for an Arabidopsis Bayreuth × Shahdara recombinant inbred line (RIL) population, built on RNA-seq data. RNA-seq analysis on 160 RILs of this population identified 30,049 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) covering the whole genome. Based on a 100-kbp window SNP binn...
متن کاملAnalysis of LexA binding sites and transcriptomics in response to genotoxic stress in Leptospira interrogans
We determined the effects of DNA damage caused by ultraviolet radiation on gene expression in Leptospira interrogans using DNA microarrays. These data were integrated with DNA binding in vivo of LexA1, a regulator of the DNA damage response, assessed by chromatin immunoprecipitation and massively parallel DNA sequencing (ChIP-seq). In response to DNA damage, Leptospira induced expression of gen...
متن کاملThe Major Sources of Genetic Differentiation Among Apricot Latent Virus (ApLV) Isolates
Background and Aims: Apricot latent virus (ApLV) is a species within Foveavirus genus (Betaflexiviridae family, Tymovirales order). Phylogenetic analyses using different ORFs nucleotide sequences divided most ApLV isolates into two clusters. However, there is little data about the sources of genetic differentiation among ApLV isolates. Materials and Methods: Partial coat protein (CP) sequences...
